About

Our Mission

Atletico Adelaide FC is built upon the foundation of our 6 pillars of belief. These beliefs are Affordability, Inclusivity, Fairness, Respect, Community & The Embracement of Technology.

Each belief encompasses the essence of what football is all about for all of us who love the most beautiful game on the planet.

It encompasses our vision to create a club environment where individual players will collectively and joyfully reach their full potential.

What we stand for

INCLUSIVITY

Adelaide Atletico FC wants to extend the hand of inclusivity to all children and adults, including those who have a disability. AAFC INCLUSION Academy is directed by Marcos Flores / Chris Okely (CP Captain / Coordinator) and aims to create a clear pathway to the social and physical benefits of sport while allowing them to bypass their limitations and fall in love with the game.

RESPECT

Central to our beliefs and all that we do at AAFC is RESPECT. We believe and will teach all children that they must above all respect their parents, coaches, opponents, referees and most importantly, each other as players.

We RESPECT that EVERY player deserves to reach their full potential and that players be there for each other and celebrate each other’s successes.

Our coaches understand life on and off the field. We aim to build a strong support network to mentor children to not only excel as players but also as young men and women as they follow their own pathways in life.

FAIRNESS

Not only is our club inclusive but it is FAIR.

This is why our club will be fully transparent and honest in discussing the performance and ability of your child with a focus and priority on DEVELOPMENT and …

We will lead with full humanity and connectedness as we recognise that making mistakes is a part of growth and a part of the process for each player to become their individual best no matter their starting point. We aim to learn and grow together.

COMMUNITY

We will be a COMMUNITY focussed club. Our club has been formed based on the true principles of the community. We want our club to not only represent the players but to be a true representation of the local community. That is why we want to assist the community in any way that is possible, whether that be through the use of our pitches for events or through community fundraisers.

TECHNOLOGY

Under the AAFC COACHING PLAN, we will record parts of training sessions for the purpose of players and parents to review their child’s performance. This is done to show the child where his or her own playstyle is evolving. In seeing their own mistakes, the child can see for themselves how they improve. We believe that respectful, honest feedback is an essential part of growth and that technology allows us to best provide this essential feedback.
